Tuesday event: Lancaster Sheriff Station first research and development station in County

SHERIFF BACA DESIGNATES LANCASTER SHERIFF STATION AS THE FIRST “RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT”

STATION IN LOS ANGELES COUNTY

 

 

WHO:              SHERIFF LEE BACA, CHIEF NEAL TYLER, COMMANDER ARTHUR NG, COMMANDER CARL DEELEY, CAPTAIN AXEL ANDERSON, LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT; AND MAYOR R. REX PARRIS, CITY OF LANCASTER.

 

WHAT:            SHERIFF BACA AND MAYOR PARRIS WILL DISCUSS THE INNOVATIVE APPROACH THE CITY OF LANCASTER HAS TAKEN TO EARN THEIR SHERIFF’S STATION DESIGNATION AS THE FIRST “RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT” STATION IN THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES.  MAYOR PARRIS AND THE CITY LEADERS OF LANCASTER HAVE DISPLAYED A STRONG COMMITMENT TO REDUCING CRIME IN THEIR CITY.  THEIR INFUSION OF NEW TECHNOLOGY AND IDEAS COUPLED WITH OLD FASHIONED POLICE WORK HAS PAID OFF WITH AN ELEVEN PERCENT REDUCTION IN CRIME LAST YEAR.  THIS IS A TREND THEY INTEND TO MAINTAIN WITH FUTURE TECHNOLOGIES AND CONCEPTS.
