WHO: SHERIFF LEE BACA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF=S DEPARTMENT; CHIEF WILLIAM BRATTON, LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT; SHERIFF SANDRA HUTCHENS, ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF=S DEPARTMENT; AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR CHRISTINA KELLY, LUPUS INTERNATIONAL.
WHAT: SHERIFF BACA, ALONG WITH HUNDREDS OF RUNNERS AND PARTICIPATING LAW ENFORCEMENT AND FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL, WILL RUN IN THE 9TH ANNUAL ALUPUS RACE FOR LIFE.@ THIS RACE IS IN SUPPORT OF THE MORE THAN 1.5 MILLION PEOPLE WITH LUPUS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THIS INCURABLE DISEASE STRIKES PRIMARILY WOMEN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 15 AND 44.
