Foster Youth Who Have Achieved An Academic Landmark Are Honored at Universal Studios During Celebration II Ceremony on Thursday, August 27th

 

 

WHAT:           Over 150 foster youth who have attained their high school diploma or equivalency certificate will be honored during the annual Celebration II event at Universal Studios on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at 11 a.m.

 

The luncheon will take place at Universal Studio's theme park Globe Theatre.  Celebration II honors graduating foster and probation youth that have overcome adversity to achieve grades of 2.0 to 2.7.  Many of these graduates are the first to attain this status in their families.  They will bring along their diplomas and certificates to proudly display their achievement.
