County Rounds Out Town & Country Summer Meetings

The Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning continues with Town & Country, an effort to update the Antelope Valley Area Plan, by hosting the last series of public meetings for this year.  The Area Plan, last updated in 1986, governs land use in the unincorporated areas of the Valley and must be revised to reflect current conditions and to guide the growth and change that will occur over the next 20 years.

In July, Town & Country participants worked on developing draft goals and policy recommendations during the "Goals" meetings.  This August, participants at four "Implementation" meetings will create action plans to put the goals and policy recommendations in motion.  These meetings will round out the three series hosted this summer which began with “Vision,” proceeded with “Goals,” and finally concludes with “Implementation.”

“Implementation” meetings will be held at four different locations throughout the Valley in order to provide residents with a venue close to their town.  Participation is welcome at any or all of the meetings.
