ANTONOVICH OFFICIATES WALK/RUN

BENEFITING FOSTER YOUTH

PASADENA – Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich sounded the opening air horn blast at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena to begin the iCare Foundation’s 5k run/walk supporting foster children.

“There are nearly 600 foster children waiting to be adopted,” said Antonovich.  Children need to grow up in stable, loving homes.  They need to know the difference between right and wrong – to enable them to have the ability to say no to destructive lifestyles.”

“Every step and every kilometer walked, we today increase our commitment to helping these young people.”

The iCare Foundation is a non-profit organization founded by six-time Grammy nominated, R&B Hall Of Fame Living Legend, Kashif, and is committed to changing the image of foster care and improving the quality of life for children in the foster care system.
