The audience is welcome to join in and dance. Followed by Mestre Amen's CAPOEIRA BATUQUE demonstrating the martial arts dance from Bahia and the Maculele. Ki-Xego Forró Band opens for Grupo Revelaçao with rhythms from the Northeast of Brazil, Forró, Xote, Xaxado and Baiao. Grupo Revelãçao is one of the most important bands of Samba. Influenced by all the major samba groups that originated in Cacique de Ramos (Indian Chiefs of Ramos) a suburb in its origins bringing back the sambas from the 70's where they started meeting to sing, play, drink, and dance in samba jam sessions. "We are very grateful for the past generations that opened up the doors for us", says Beto, one of the components of the group. Revelação celebrates the new status of their samba among the new generation. "Nobody is ashamed to say that they are a sambistas (samba lovers). "To listen to Bezerra da Silva (a classic samba composer/singer) some years ago in the radio would have been practically unheard of" remembers Beto. Grupo Revelaçao has shown the authenticity of the samba in all of their CDs, the happiness, the samba from its roots. The group is composed of six musicians with six additional percussionists to show audiences a variety of samba instruments. Xande (vocals and cavaquinho / a small string guitar), Mauro Jr. (banjo and vocals), Beto Lima (guitar, bass, bandolin and vocals), Artur Luís (reco-reco / a percussion instrument and vocals), Sérgio Rufino (tambourine) e Rogerinho (drum and tambourine)
