COUNTY TO CREATE SERVICE CENTERS TO PROMOTE

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT THROUGH “GREEN INITIATIVE”

 

LOS ANGELES COUNTY – The Board of Supervisors approved a motion by Supervisors  Michael Antonovich and Mark Ridley-Thomas to provide County residents, businesses and contractors one-stop Environmental Service Centers to access technical resources and financial incentives related to the County’s “green'' initiatives.”

                             

Funded through the Energy Efficiency and Conversation Block Grant Program, the program provides funds to improve energy efficiency reduce energy use and spur economic growth and job creation.

The proposal also provides funding for a website linking all County resources and services at www.lacounty.green.gov.   The Chief Executive Officer will report back to the Board with an update on the plan on June 23.
