MAY 5, 2009 SAN MARINO UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT SPECIAL PARCEL TAX ELECTION

UPDATES AVAILABLE VIA TWITTER

Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean Logan reminded San Marino residents voting today in the all mail ballot San Marino Unified School District Special Parcel Tax Election that their ballots should be at the RR/CC Headquarters in Norwalk by 8 p.m. tonight.

In order for their votes to be counted, ballots must be received by mail no later than 8 p.m. (postmarked ballots are not acceptable) or returned in person to

the RR/CC’s office at 12400 Imperial Highway in Norwalk no later than 8 p.m. this evening.  If a voter is unable to return his/her ballot in person, the voter

may authorize a designated family member to return the voted ballot to the RR/CC in accordance with the procedures outlined on the Vote by Mail ballot

return envelope.  Unofficial election tabulation results may be accessed via the RR/CC website www.lavote.net after 8 p.m.

Logan is pleased to announce that the RR/CC has expanded its outreach to the media and Los Angeles County residents by launching a page on Twitter.

The RR/CC will be posting links to press releases, election updates, upcoming events and other news of interest to Los Angeles County Residents and

media outlets beginning with posting today’s election result updates.  The election updates are available to all interested parties who wish to follow updates

for the San Marino Unified School District Special Parcel Tax Election via the RR/CC Twitter feed at http://twitter.com/lacountyrrcc.
