“Window into the Wild” Annual Fundraiser for Animals at
San Dimas Canyon Nature Center

From 10:00 a.m. until 4:00p.m.
WHAT: County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation and the San Dimas Canyon Nature Center Associates present “Window into the Wild” Annual Fundraiser is a fundraiser that will be held for Animals at the San Dimas Canyon Nature Center, on June 12, 2010. This fundraiser will help raise money to feed and care for the Nature Center’s animal residents and for the nature and educational programs. Visitors can see birds, reptiles and other wildlife animals including a deer, a raccoon, hawks and even a tarantula! Also see Smokey the Bear from the Forestry department, K-9’s from the Department of Fish and Game and trained equine teams from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. Other groups include the California Rescue Dog Association (CARDA) who will be bringing some of their talented canine heroes and Los Angeles County Lifeguards to offer education about swimming safety and how to deal with the summer heat. Along with other fun-fill activities, food booths and nature hikes, everyone can come out and have a good time!

COST: Parking and admission into the natural area and event is free for the entire family! Note: Costs for activities, food and drinks are reasonably priced with all proceeds supporting the Nature Center animals and educational programs.
