SHERIFF BACA, CHIEF BECK AND PROMINENT PHYSICIANS JOIN TOGETHER
TO OPPOSE THE STATE'S PROPOSAL TO ELIMINATE DRUG TREATMENT FUNDING
Who: Sheriff Lee Baca, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department; Chief Charlie Beck, Los Angeles Police Department; Dr. Roger Donovick, Psychiatrist, UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute; and Dr. Jason Kletter, President of the California Opioid Maintenance Providers (COMP).
What: Sheriff Baca, Chief Beck, Dr. Donovick, Dr. Kletter and several people who have benefitted from drug treatment programs will hold a press conference in a show of unified support against the State of California eliminating state funding for these programs. They will discuss the impact these funding cuts will have on public safety and health in Los Angeles County.
