JUNE 8, 2010 PRIMARY ELECTION

SEMI-FINAL RESULTS REPORTED

Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean Logan announced semi-final election results for the June 8, 2010 Primary Election with 100% of the precincts reporting, 19.57% of eligible registered voters cast ballots in Los Angeles County.

A total of 852,153 ballots were processed and counted on Election Night. This included 239,769 Vote by Mail ballots and 612,384 polling place ballots cast at the 4,822 voting precincts throughout the county.

The official election canvass will take place beginning Thursday, June 10, 2010 through Monday, July 1, 2010. Supplemental election result updates throughout the canvass period may be accessed via the RR/CC website www.lavote.net. The first supplemental results update will be posted Friday, June 11 after 5:00 p.m. Additional updates will be posted every following Tuesday and Friday with the final official election results posted on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.

During the Official Canvass all outstanding provisional and vote by mail ballots will be verified and tallied. The RR/CC will conduct the 1% Manual Audit. Upon completion of the Official Canvass for the Primary Election, results will be submitted to the Board of Supervisors for official certification of the election.
