Bebe Moore-Campbell was the founding member of NAMI Urban Los Angeles. She was the author of a pair of books entitled, “Sometimes My Mommy Gets Angry” and “72 Hour Hold.” Both books have made significant contributions in raising awareness of the plight of those with brain disorders. Moore-Campbell’s tireless advocacy and fight to bring attention to mental illness among minorities served as the catalyst for this historic month of recognition.
