Supervisor Ridley-Thomas to Join MTA at Community Meeting to Discuss Potential Improvements to Wilmington/Imperial/Rosa Parks Station Area

 

 

LOS ANGELES -- Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas will join representatives of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) representatives at a community meeting to discuss potential improvements surrounding the Wilmington/Imperial/Rosa Parks Station in Compton.

 

WHEN:                      Wednesday, October 14, 2009 from 6 PM to 8 PM

 

LOCATION:              Ronald McNair Elementary School (Cafeteria), 1450 West El Segundo Blvd. in Compton

 

The purpose of the meeting is to update the public on the Transit Oriented District Plan and provide a project overview, as well as a breakout session to discuss potential area improvements, including lighting and access to the station and the surrounding neighborhood.

 

This project improvement represents one of 15 active projects that Supervisor Ridley-Thomas is spearheading to revive the area surrounding the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Hospital.
