WHO: Customers of Los Angeles County Waterworks District Nos. 37,

Acton, and 40, Antelope Valley

 

WHAT: Community meetings to discuss the use of chloramines and

other disinfection methods for your drinking water.

 

WHEN AND WHERE:

Meetings will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

• Tues, Jan. 20 – Meadowlark Elementary School, 3015 W. Sacramento Street, Acton

• Wed, Jan. 21 – City Council Chambers, 44933 N. Fern Avenue, Lancaster

• Tues, Jan. 27 – Palmdale Senior Center, 1002 E. Avenue Q-12, Palmdale

• Wed, Jan. 28 – Twin Lakes Community Church, 17213 Lake Los Angeles Avenue,

Lake Los Angeles

 

WHY: The community meetings are being held in response to a Board

Motion by Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich to provide

customers with information about future methods of disinfecting

their drinking water to comply with new, more stringent drinking

water standards and to solicit customer feedback.
