County budget update on Tuesday agenda

This item is on Tuesday's agenda of the Board of Supervisors and discusses the current budget situation of the County in light of the economic crisis.  It will give you an overview of where we stand on revenues, the shortfalls we are facing, the increased demand for services, and the need to enact a more disciplined policy in setting aside reserves.  It also includes a recommendation to transfer $34.1 million one-time funding from our present reserves to address budget gaps,  make capital improvements, improve operating efficiencies and respond to community needs.   (Item 15)
