Board declares Jan. 13 as Korean-American Day in Los Angeles County.

 

$275,541 maximum contract recommended to develop master plan for Hillgrove Community Center project in Hacienda Heights.  (Item 1-D) APPROVED

 

$679,463 maximum contract would complete refurbishment of Woodcrest Library in West Athens/Westmont.  (Item 2-D) APPROVED

 

Supervisor Don Knabe asks study of the practicality of offsetting minimum 10 percent of County’s annual electrical needs through use of renewable energy.  (Item 2) APPROVED AS AMENDED BY RIDLEY-THOMAS AND YAROSLAVSKY

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich proposes $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for death of 17-year-old Andrew Lopez, who was stabbed in Palmdale in May 2008.  (Item 44-B) APPROVED

 

Recommendation calls for state to require nursing homes receiving Medicare and Medi-Cal payments to post their rating in prominent location in plain view of patients and visitors.  (Item 44-D)  APPROVE

 

Supervisors meet in closed session to discuss lawsuit alleging medical negligence at Olive New Medical Center.  (Item CS-1)
