Adventure County Park to Provide a Free
Thanksgiving Feast for the Whittier Community
WHAT: Thousands are expected to attend the Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Adventure County Park. Each year the office of Fourth District Supervisor Don Knabe, Adventure Park staff and community volunteers sponsor a free dinner for those who are in need. The full course meal including turkey and all the traditional sides are open to men, women and children in need. The park is prepared to serve 3,000 people this year and served more than 2,000 children and families in 2009.
