NOVEMBER 2, 2010 GENERAL ELECTION
SEMI-FINAL RESULTS REPORTED
Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean Logan announced semi-final election results for the November 2, 2010 General Election with 100% of the precincts reporting. Initial results reflect 43.27% turnout among registered voters who cast ballots in Los Angeles County.
A total of 1,912,930 ballots were processed and counted on Election Night. This included 380,004 Vote by Mail ballots and 1,532,926 polling place ballots cast at the 4,770 voting precincts throughout the county.
The official election canvass will take place beginning Thursday, November 4, 2010 through Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Supplemental election result updates throughout the canvass period may be accessed via the RR/CC website www.lavote.net. The first supplemental results update will be posted Friday, November 5th after 5:00 p.m. Additional updates will be posted every following Tuesday and Friday with the final official election results posted on Tuesday, November 30, 2010.
During the Official Canvass all outstanding provisional and vote by mail ballots will be verified and tallied. The RR/CC will conduct the 1% Manual Audit. Upon completion of the Official Canvass for the General Election, results will be submitted to the Board of Supervisors for official certification of the election.
