Report scheduled on Project Labor Agreement proposed for King Medical Center construction project.  (Item S-1)

 

Recommendation calls for spending $4.3 million to complete sound insulation improvements on 184 homes in Lennox and Athens.  (Item 1-D)

 

Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich asks independent analysis of accounting and actuarial methodologies used for employee pension fund and retiree insurance benefit program.  (Item 2)

 

Proposal would dedicate Fire Department’s command and control building in honor of Fire Chief P. Michael Freeman, who is retiring this month.   (Item 3)

 

Extension of $10,000 reward recommended for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of person(s) who vandalized Lancaster parole office in January.  (Item 4)

 

In reaction to latest scandal in Vernon, Supervisor Gloria Molina asks Board support of proposed legislation to prevent more than 10 percent of a charter city’s housing to be occupied by city employees or individuals with a conflict of interest, and to authorize a county to competitively bid housing units for charter cities.  (Item 5)

 

$2.2 million contract would develop system to identify General Relief welfare recipients who are heavy users of County programs to provide targeted services and interventions.  (Item 8, as revised on supplemental agenda)

 

Recommendation would establish a 10-member committee to redraw boundaries of supervisors’ districts to adjust to population changes identified in the 2010 Census.   (Item 10)

 

Traffic plan proposed as result of State Route 126 interchange project in Castaic.  (Item 14)

 

Board asked to approve $5.7 million for preconstruction phase of 3.6 mile multi-use trail in Avocado Heights.   (Item 17)

 

Authorization requested to abate unsightly, unsafe and unhealthy conditions at 17 sites.  (Item 20 a, b, c, d

 

Sheriff asks to rehire retired deputy due to critical need for civilian investigator.  (Item 27)

 

Ordinance would establish additional development standards in hills of Altadena.  (Item 40)

 

Supervisors vote on banning plastic carryout bags at markets and pharmacies in unincorporated areas, requiring stores providing recyclable paper bags to charge 10 cents, and phasing out use of plastic carryout bags at County-operated facilities and offices.  (Item 41 a, band c )

 

Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas asks for implementation plan for Medicaid Waiver that will require restructuring of health care delivery system.  (Item 42-A)

 

Board in closed session discusses litigation filed by man who says sheriff deputies failed to protect him from assault by inmates.  (Item CS-2)
