Celebration Scheduled for former beaches director killed in accident

“A CELEBRATION OF STAN” PLANNED

FOR STAN WISNIEWSKI

 

 

“A Celebration of Stan” is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 12 for Stan Wisniewski, former director of the Los Angeles County Beaches and Harbors Department, who was killed in an auto accident on Oct. 15.

 

Friends and family are invited to the 10:30 a.m. celebration in the Burton Chace Park Community Room, 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey.  A presentation of Wisniewski’s life will be on display and guests will have an opportunity to share their memories.

Wisniewski, 59, director of the department from 1993 to his retirement in 2008, worked for the County for 40 years and was instrumental in overseeing the commencement of second-generation development in Marina del Rey.

 

He is survived by his two children, Dana and Weston, who reside in Paso Robles.
