L.A. County Human Relations Commission Unveils the Latest Hate Crime Stats

 

WHO:            Robin S. Toma, Executive Director, Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations; Dr. Sandra Thomas, Commission President; and a victim of a recent hate crime.  Invited guests include the L. A. County Board of Supervisors, L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca, L.A. City Police Chief Charlie Beck, L.A. District Attorney Steve Cooley, and L.A. City Attorney Carmen Trutanich.

 

WHAT:           The Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission will release its 2008 Hate Crime Report. The report provides analysis of the hate crime data collected by all 47 law enforcement agencies in L.A. County, school districts and community-based organizations including white supremacist activity and racialized gang violence.
