Probation Department Juvenile Detention Facilities to host Holiday Celebrations for Families this Weekend

 

All media are invited to attend the following Holiday events.  Photos of incarcerated minors must not reveal the minors’ identities.  Free games, gifts, and food are provided for all in

attendance.  A surprise visit from Santa Claus is expected to delight the crowd.  Please contact Kerri Webb to RSVP for security clearances.

Under the theme of “Hope and Empowerment,” juveniles currently incarcerated at the Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall will experience an afternoon filled with holiday fun spent with their families. Christmas trees will transform the facility into a Winter Wonderland as festivities include live entertainment, arts and crafts, and a holiday feast.  Each minor will receive a gift bag including a T-shirt, a book and tasty treats all provided by community sponsors.

CYMC will host “Holidays with Our Children” on Saturday, December 19th from 3pm to 5pm. The holiday extraordinaire will feature live entertainment, and most important, minors

spend special quality family time together for the holiday.  In addition to the formal holiday dinner service (wait staff will be our very own Probation Officers), minors will receive free

holiday gifts to personally give their families.

CJH celebrates its 3rd annual “Help Us Feed 1000” on Sunday, December 20th from 11am to 3pm.  The event will include delicious festive meals for the entire family, a bounce tent for the kids, arts and crafts, Child I.D. cards and a surprise visit by Santa Claus who will give out gifts for at least 1,000 children of various ages.
