Born to Be Good?

Dacher Keltner is here to talk about his new book, Born to Be Good: the Science of a Meaningful Life, and his hypothesis that humans were in fact “born to be good,” evidenced by our evolving of “pro-social” emotions, such as gratitude, amusement, awe, and compassion—all of which promote ethical action and create the fabric of cooperative societies.

Guests:

Dacher Keltner, professor of psychology at the University of California, Berkeley, director of the Greater Good Science Center, and coeditor of Greater Good magazine.
