The Women's Crusade

Gendercide - think about that word. It is believed that more girls and women are missing from the planet, because they are female, than all the men killed on battlefields in wars of the 20th century. For the women who survive, abuse and mistreatment can be brutal. In their new book, "Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide," husband and wife team Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn chronicle the oppression of women. They join Patt for a discussion of these numbing global statistics and the story behind them.
