Public Asked for Feedback on Marina Beach Concept Plan

PUBLIC WORKSHOP IN FURTHERANCE OF A CONCEPT PLAN FOR MARINA BEACH

 

MARINA DEL REY, CALIF. – March 18, 2010 - The Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors is pleased to announce a public workshop to gather additional community input and feedback on the Marina Beach Concept Plan.  An update on the status of the Plan will also be provided.  The workshop will be held Wednesday, March 31, from 6-8 p.m. at the Community Room in Burton Chace Park, located at 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey. 

The Department of Beaches and Harbors and the architectural firm Gruen Associates are conducting this workshop.   Marina Beach, located at the intersection of Via Marina and Admiralty Way, is Marina del Rey’s only beach area and has long been an important focal point for visitors, residents and boaters.  

Marina del Rey residents, boaters and members of the general public and local community are encouraged to attend the workshop.
