SUPERVISOR RIDLEY-THOMAS, EMPOWERMENT CONGRESS TO HOST PUBLIC

FORUM WITH COUNTY’S ACTING CHIEF OF PROBATION CAL REMINGTON

 

WHAT:           Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas and the Empowerment Congress, a coalition of community groups, will host a community forum featuring Acting County Probation Chief Cal Remington.

 

WHY:             The forum is part of Supervisor Ridley-Thomas’ effort to address issues related to published reports that juvenile probation officers have physically and sexually abused youths in their care.

 

WHEN:          Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M.
