Rancho Los Amigos to Host Stroke Health & Wellness Fair

 

DOWNEY, Calif., September 15, 2010 – Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center will hold its 4th Annual Stroke Health & Wellness Fair on September 18, 2010, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  The public is invited to the "roll around the ranch" event which includes a 5K walk/run and health-geared activities for the entire family. 

"The Stroke Health & Wellness Fair encourages people of all ages to learn about the risk factors for stroke and take control of their health," said Rancho chief executive officer Jorge Orozco.  "Education is the first step to health empowerment and wellness."

The event will feature free blood pressure screenings, health education, a 1K, 5K and Kids Fun Run, and musical entertainment by Sherry Pruit and the Delgado brothers.  There will also be an interactive art station, bowling, and Wii Fit activities.
