PRESS RELEASE

Foster Idol LA 2010 concert and fundraiser to showcase performing foster youth, unsigned artists and celebrities on September 5th at the Nokia Center

(Los Angeles, September, 5) - Celebrities, Foster Youth and Unsigned Artist perform to raise awareness and vital funds for the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and After School Enrichment Programs for the Arts. The FOSTER IDOL LA 2010 Concert/Showcase/Fundraiser will be at Club Nokia LA Live.  FOSTER IDOL LA 2010 gives foster children the unique opportunity to perform, (i.e. sing, dance and rap) live on stage with their favorite entertainers. They also have a chance to meet professional athletes, actors, comedians, radio personalities and local politicians.

Proceeds from this event will help provide after school enrichment services for more than 36,000 foster children in the LA County Department of Children and Family Services.  More specifically, the money raised will be funneled to families who cannot afford unapproved medical and dental expenses, such as general anesthesiology, orthodontia treatment, summer camps and other after school activities not funded by government sources. All your efforts mean so much to these children who will be touched by your good wishes and generosity.
