$1.6 million proposal would allow developer to acquire and rehabilitate 67-unit multi-family rental housing development in Santa Clarita.   (Item 1-D)

 

Supervisors Yvonne B. Burke and Zev Yaroslavsky request County become one of founding members of a regional organization to address global warming concerns and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  (Item 2, cont. from 10/7)

 

Supervisor Don Knabe requests Board support to implement 35 recommendations to reform education in juvenile halls and probation camp, which he calls “broken.”  (Item 6)

 

Supervisors Michael D. Antonovich and Gloria Molina request extension of $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest/conviction of person(s) responsible for the death of Sheriff’s Deputy Juan Escalante, who was murdered in Cypress Park on Aug. 2.   (Item 9)

 

Extension of $10,000 reward proposed for information leading to the arrest/conviction of person(s) responsible for the fatal hit-and-run death of Ralph Charles Granado in West Covina in July 2007.   (Item 10)
