WHO: SHERIFF LEE BACA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT, AND PRESIDENT BOB BARCHIESI, INTERNATIONAL ANTI-COUNTERFEIT COALITION (IACC).
WHAT: COPS BUREAU MEMBERS WORKING WITH INVESTIGATIVE CONSULTANTS, THE IACC, THE RECORDING INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA AND NUMEROUS PRIVATE INDUSTRY ORGANIZATIONS HAVE CONDUCTED A SERIES OF RAIDS TO COMBAT COUNTERFEITING AND PIRACY CRIME THROUGHOUT THE GREATER LOS ANGELES AREA. THESE CRIMES COST SOCIETY BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN LOST REVENUE. SHERIFF BACA WILL DISCUSS THE RESULTS OF THESE RAIDS AND HOW THESE CRIMES AFFECT US ALL.
