TYPE OF INCIDENT: PAROLE/PROBATION COMPLIANCE SEARCHES

LOCATION: SAN GABRIEL VALLEY

 

On October 1, 2009 Temple Station’s Rosemead Team conducted a Parole/Probation

compliance search operation with the assistance of Los Angeles County Probation’s

Intensive Gang Supervision Program (IGSP), State Parole, San Gabriel Police Department, Department of Children and Family Services, LASD/OSS, LASD/COPS, and other Temple Station personnel. The operation involved a total of 80 law enforcement officers.

 

The operation was focused upon “Lomas”street gang members residing in the San Gabriel Valley area. The gang has been purported to have been responsible for a variety of street crimes. A total of 19 locations were checked, resulting in 16 arrests (15 adults and 1 juvenile). Charges included parole/probation violations, weapons charges, and a firearm charge for possession of a Tech-9 assault weapon.
