SENIOR CITIZENS AND OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS ARE INVITED

TO PARTICIPATE IN LA COUNTY AND LA CITY DISCUSSIONS

 OF FUTURE AGING PROGRAMS AND SERVICES

 

 

Los Angeles—In accordance with the Older Americans Act, the LA County and LA City Area Agencies on Aging will be holding special public hearings and discussions about future programs and services for the County’s population aged 60 and over.

The results will be reviewed for possible inclusion in the 2011-2012 update of the Area Agency on Aging Planning and Service Area Plan for senior services—a few of which include Nutrition Programs (Congregate and Home-Delivered Meals), Supportive Services Programs (personal care, respite, homemaking) and Family Caregiver Support Programs.

 

 

All senior citizens are encouraged to attend and to share their thoughts, ideas and suggestions for this very important project.  Also invited to participate are family caregivers and other beneficiaries of senior programs, including senior advocacy groups and service providers.  Public testimony and written comments are encouraged.
