Previous Portraits of Hope Projects have included everything from blimps, buildings, and the New York City taxi fleet, to NASCAR racecars, tugboats, and vintage airplanes. Ford Motor Company’s relationship with the Los Angeles County Lifeguards started with the introduction of its Escape Hybrid vehicles in 2008. Now heading into their 3rd year in operation on LA County’s beaches, the hybrid fleet has participated in 19,754 rescues and saved the county over 11,000 gallons of gasoline.
