Sheriff Baca/Pete Carroll dedicate multi-use sports surface/skate park

On Friday, May 28, 2010, Los Angeles County Sheriff Leroy D. Baca and NFL Coach Pete Carroll will host a dedication ceremony for the newly installed multi-use sports surface and skate park at the Lennox Sheriff’s Station Youth Activities League Center.   The installation of the multi-use sports surface and skate park was made possible by collaboration between the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Youth Foundation, the LA 84 Foundation, the alliance for “A Better LA,” and the Nike Corporation.  Sports clinics and a demonstration by urban skateboard sensation Theotis Beasley will highlight the event.
