Narrative:

Registered sex offender and sexual predator Daren Olsen, who has been evading police

since removing his G.P.S. monitoring device over two weeks ago, has been captured.

Deputies from Lancaster Sheriff’s Station’s Target Oriented Policing (“TOP”) team, who have

been actively searching for Olsen received information that he was possibly traveling to the

Venice Beach area. Armed with informational fliers, the team of deputies canvassed the

Venice Beach area early this morning and distributed the fliers to several merchants and

Homeless people in the area.

Shortly after returning to Lancaster Station, the team received a call from LAPD Pacific

Division stating that they had captured Olsen.

Deputies from Lancaster Station are currently on their way to the Pacific Division Station to

arrest Olsen and return him to Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
