LOS ANGELES COUNTY TO HOLD IT 51ST ANNUAL HOLIDAY CELEBRATION FEATURING 22 MUSICAL GROUPS AND 600 PERFORMERS

LOS ANGELES COUNTY – The Board of Supervisors approved production of the 51st Annual Los Angeles County Holiday Celebration Program at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on Christmas Eve, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

Since 1959, Los Angeles County families have made the Holiday Celebration a Christmastime tradition -- both in person and on television.  The show is broadcast live on PBS station KCET on Friday, December 24, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This year’s celebration will feature 22 groups and over 600 performers.  Nearly half of the entertainers featured are youth groups.  For the first time, a JumboTron will be placed on the Music Center Plaza so that those unable to be seated in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion will be able to see the show.
