BACKGROUND
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Compton Station has collaborated with Faith Inspirational Church and created a program to reach out to the men and women who are currently on parole in the City of Compton. The objective of the program is to combat the repetition of undesirable behavior by these men and women. In a time when governmental agencies are in need of money and support, and there is uncertainty of basic human needs for many of these men and women returning home from prison, this program offers support and help.
Project Restoration is a twelve-week program which provides instruction on leadership, relationships, parenting, and employment. Participants gain new skills as they spend three weeks in each of the above courses. The classes are designed to give each student a new outlook on these topics, which are taught with the belief that if the mind can change, thoughts can change, and the actions will change.
Classes are held every Wednesday from 7:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., culminating in a graduation for participants.
Please join us for our most recent graduation, Wednesday, October 27, 2010, 7:00 P.M., at Faith Inspirational Church, 357 East Palmer Street, Compton.
