FEDERAL grant WILL ENHANCE GANG DATABASE

 

LOS ANGELES COUNTY – The Board of Supervisors accepted a $300,000 grant from the United States Department of Justice for the County’s Gang Cop/Link/Gang Intelligence Information Node Project, announced Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

 

The Gang CopLink Program is a gang data and analysis database network which allows the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and 46 other municipal police departments to effectively generate tactical leads and intelligence to help solve and thwart crime, gang activity and terrorism.
