Board asked to make policy decision on increasing gasoline tax by a nickel as alternative to state taking counties’ and cities’ gas tax revenues. Supervisor Don Knabe asks for plan within 60 days to use $271 million in federal stimulus funding to issue tax-exempt private bonds to promote economic development in areas with high poverty, unemployment, foreclosures or general distress. (Motion introduced at meeting) APPROVED
Supervisors asked to approve $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person(s) responsible for murder of Jerrill Dulaney in Altadena on May 9. (Motion introduced at meeting) APPROVED
