VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINE APPROACHING FOR

JUNE 30, 2009 SPECIAL PARCEL TAX ELECTIONS

Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean Logan today reminded residents in the La Cañada and Rowland Unified School Districts that the last day to register to vote in the upcoming June 30, 2009 Special Parcel Tax Elections is Monday, June 15, 2009.

Individuals who wish to register to vote must be at least 18 years of age by Election Day, U.S. Citizen and resident of Los Angeles County, and not in prison or on parole for a felony conviction.  If the voter has recently moved, made a legal name change, or wishes to change political party affiliation, the voter must re-register to vote.  To vote in the Special Parcel Tax Elections, you must reside within district boundaries.

 

Voter registration forms are readily available online at the RR/CC website www.lavote.net by clicking on the

Secretary of State link found under Resources on the main page.  Forms are also available at over 1,240 locations

across the County – including most County buildings, City Halls, fire stations, libraries, Department of Motor

Vehicles offices, public assistance offices (DPSS, WIC), and post offices.  Individuals can also call the Voter

Registration Request Line - (800) 481-VOTE (8683).

button on the main page or by calling the RR/CC at (562) 466-1310 or (562) 466-1323.
