“TINY TOTS” JOIN CLASS OF 2009 GRADUATES

 

Caps and Gowns, Pomp n’ Circumstance, Favorite Songs and Molina Graduation Certificates

 

 

SOUTH WHITTIER (June 18, 2009) -- Mayberry Park’s Tiny Tots program will hold its Annual Graduation Ceremony Friday, June 19, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.  In addition to the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance”, this year’s graduates will also receive a special treat: Los Angeles County certificates signed by Supervisor Gloria Molina.

“With a head start in their education, the Mayberry Park ‘Tiny Tots' Class of 2009 are graduating with a set of skills to aid them in kindergarten--this graduation ceremony is the first of many in their lives,” said Molina.  “I am proud of our County Parks and Recreation Department’s Tiny Tots program, which provides every student with basics such as socialization, language development, and the use of motor skills.“

Following the walk to the stage for their certificates, the “Tiny Tots” students will perform some of their favorite songs for friends and family.

“Sharing, caring, and learning in a fun way have been the keys to the program’s success,” said Mayberry Park Tiny Tots’ Program Coordinator Mary Hernandez.  “I anticipate a day of fun, smiles and laughter at the ceremonies.”
