Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk (RR/CC) Dean Logan reported that the mailing of Official Vote by Mail ballots and sample ballot booklets for the June 23, 2009 Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District Special Parcel Tax Election began on Tuesday, May 26.  This election is being conducted as a Vote by Mail Election.  All eligible registered voters in the district were mailed Official Vote by Mail ballots, Sample Ballot booklets and Vote by Mail Instructions.

Voted ballots must be received by the RR/CC by June 23, 2009, no later than 8:00 p.m.  If you are unable to mail your voted ballot in time, the RR/CC has established a special satellite ballot drop-off location for your convenience.

Where:  Palos Verdes City Hall – Lobby

340 Palos Verdes Drive West, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274

                When:   Tuesday, June 23, 2009

                                8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The satellite ballot drop-off location will be staffed by RR/CC personnel and will be in operation on Election Day, June 23, 2009, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The satellite location is exclusively for voters who did not mail their voted ballots in time to be received by the RR/CC by 8:00 p.m. on June 23rd.

Note: This is not a voting location.  RR/CC staff will be on hand to accept voted ballots only.  A secured ballot box will be available to house the ballots dropped off by voters.  After 8:00 p.m., RR/CC staff will secure the ballot box and deliver it with the voted ballot box to RR/CC Headquarters.
