ANTONOVICH COMMENTS ON PROPOSED COUNTY BUDGET

LOS ANGELES COUNTY -- “The state’s rising deficit continues to impact every city, county and school district in California,” said Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.

“This year’s bleak budget picture requires an aggressive partnership between labor and management along with a review of all programs that are funded above state requirements to reduce spending while maintaining public safety and vital services.”

“The impact of health care reform on the county budget is uncertain,” he added.  “The County already spends over $400 million dollars for health services beyond state mandates.”
