County Invites You to Results Meetings
The Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning will host four public meetings in May to discuss the results of Town & Country, an effort to update the Antelope Valley Area Plan. The Area Plan, last updated in 1986, governs land use in the unincorporated areas of the Valley and must be revised to reflect current conditions and to guide the growth and change that will occur over the next 20 years.
“Over the last 2 years, we have hosted 19 public workshops to hear what residents want for their future,” said Mitch Glaser of the Department of Regional Planning. “We’re excited to present the results of this process and to ask the residents whether we captured their vision. Meeting participants will be able to review the draft documents and to provide direct feedback to planners in an informal and interactive setting.”
The four “Results” meetings will be held at different locations throughout the Valley, and residents are encouraged to attend the meeting under which their community is listed. Each meeting will begin with an “Open House” from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., followed by a presentation and interactive discussion from 7:00 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
