FEATURE PERFORMANCES BY STUDENTS FROM
THROUGHOUT LOS ANGELES COUNTY
“Imagine” is the Theme for the Festival which Celebrates the
Creative Achievements of Students with Disabilities
WHAT: The Music Center of Los Angeles County presents the 31st Annual Very Special Arts Festival, themed “Imagine.” This admission-free festival celebrates the artistic achievements of students with disabilities along with their mainstream peers and is open to the public.
The Festival features continuous performances by more than 50 schools on two stages, along with special presentations from adult professional artists.
Additional activities include over 20 visual and performing arts workshops, an exhibit of over 1,000 theme-based works of student art, a photo booth and Spin-to-Win prize wheel sponsored by CVS Pharmacy, The Animal Guys and their exotic animals, and ambassador dogs from Guide Dogs of America. Plus, stilt walkers, a magician, giant puppets, disco dancing, Beatles tribute band Rubber Sole, and the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Held on the Plaza of the Music Center, the Very Special Arts Festival is produced in partnership with the Los Angeles Unified School District and the Los Angeles County Office of Education.
