housing for animals of persons evacuated

Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control MEDIA ADVISORY Date:  January 20, 2010 Contact:  Evelina Villa (562) 256-1364   Attention: All Pet Owners in Need of Housing for Evacuated Animals    If you are evacuated from your home and have pets, the Department of Animal    Care and Control (DACC) encourages you to first consider leaving your pets    with relatives or friends. However, DACC is available for emergency housing,    if needed.           If you are evacuated from unincorporated La Crescenta, the closest location      accepting animals:   ·         Baldwin Park Animal Shelter-4275 N. Elton St., Baldwin Park, 91706, (626) 430-2378        There will be temporary housing available at La Canada High School, located at          4463 Oak Grove Dr., La Canada, 91011. DACC will be offering transportation       assistance, if needed, to the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter.        If you are evacuated from unincorporated Acton, the closest locations are:   ·         Castaic Animal Shelter, 31044 N.
