Obama’s great expectations, round 2: Previewing the SOTU & the coming year
With so many expectations, priorities and promises on President Obama’s first year agenda, he was probably destined to disappoint both his supporters and critics. Unfortunately for the President his first year could probably be best summed up with disappointments, from a consistently slumping economy to stalled health care reform legislation. As the President looks to reset his agenda in tonight’s State of the Union address, Patt checks in with interests groups on both sides of the aisle about their expectations, not only for the speech but for the year ahead in policy developments.
