The Sheriff's Department says it has no formal plan to close San Vicente Boulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue this evening. The department says it has no confirmed information that any Prop 8 demonstrations will take place in West Hollywood today. The department does have a contigency plan to make the above road closure should the need arise due to any unforeseen demonstrations.
The department has received numerous media information requests due to the Metro News release sent earlier with the erroneous information.
