“SEAMLESS SENIOR SERVICES (S3) INITIATIVE”
STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETINGS
Invitation to seniors, service providers and community leaders!
El Monte – Community and Senior Services’ (CSS) Director, Cynthia Banks, today announced that a Stakeholders’ meeting for seniors, service providers and community leaders will be held to discuss the new Seamless Senior Services (S3) Initiative on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the Jack Crippen Multipurpose Senior Center, 3120 N. Tyler Avenue, El Monte. Seniors, caregivers, providers of service and senior advocates are urged to attend this important meeting and provide the Department with their views and suggestions on how to improve access to County services.
The goal of the S3 Initiative is to make it easier for seniors, caregivers and advocates to access programs provided by the County of Los Angeles The County is now working collaboratively to establish ‘no wrong door’ access to senior services.
“We really need to hear from the seniors and the community about how to improve access to the County services,” says Cynthia Banks.
Public testimony, comments, and written statements are encouraged at the Stakeholders’ Meetings.
