Fire Department presents fire expo on Saturday

PALOS VERDES PENINSULA FIRE EXPO

 

Los Angeles County Fire Department would like you to join us for the

1^st Annual Palos Verdes Peninsula Fire Expo.

 

WHEN:            Saturday, November 22, 2008, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

 

WHO:              Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACOFD) will conduct presentations and provide information to the public regarding wildland fires and disaster preparedness.

                                            

WHAT:            Fire and rescue demonstrations and equipment displays.  Many vendors, including the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control Equine Response Team (ERT).

WHERE:         South Coast Botanic Garden

                        26300 Crenshaw Blvd.

                        Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA  90274

 

WHY:               Community event to educate the public in wildfires and disaster preparedness.

 

VISUALS:        Fire and rescue equipment displays, such as, a helicopter, fire engines, and camp crew transport trucks.  Kids squirting fire hoses in firefighter turnouts.  Interviews with members of the LACOFD.   Firefighters performing hose lays.
